We have come with Q.U.B.E. A Mac game review. In the game the players manipulate some colorful cubes in the cozy environment to circumnavigate each level. The Q.U.B.E. Challenges the players with some puzzles involving physics, logic and platforming.
As you progress via some levels you’re introduced to a number of various colored or symbol covered titles that perform different kinds of actions. These actions could range from the very easy to the very difficult. For an instance, a simple and easy action results from stimulating the red tile. When the character of the game activates this tile, it expands out at 3 different lengths vertically or horizontally depending on where your tile is.
More difficult actions would be arrows that rotate the whole room. This very complicated further with some stages including balls that have to be circumnavigated through a room so that it can pass through a goal. And, if you think that was difficult or complicated for you, you have an ability to change the color of the ball ( and multiple colors to have right color) to get it in the accurate goal. Oh, and the lights go off in the later levels.
The graphics and sound could be considered very average, but eye candy isn’t the point of that game. The point lies in the gameplay. If this aspect is not good or appropriate then no amount of quality graphics and sound might make up for it. But gratefully, besides some drawbacks I mentioned lastly, the game holds up as the solid and fun recreation. Never before would I select a puzzle game, but the mechanics were solid and challenging to keep me coming back again and again.
