The Apple’s Mac sales in the United Nations were down in the month of July and are estimated to drop 5% per year in the company’s recent fiscal quarter which ends in the late September, a research firm exposed on Monday in the form of data obtained by All Things Digital.
The Mac sales are estimated to slide that quarter is just the newest and latest dose of some bad news for the Apple’s PC line. The company’s last~reported quarter completed June, local Mac sales were down 5% also.
Macs are facing the same problems as the Windows~based PCs, that’ve seen their shipments weakening abruptly as the enterprise customers and consumers increasingly turn to the tablets for their computing needs.
The Apple has hyped its capability to tackle some of those trends, but as of the late, the company is facing troubles in that effort.
The Apple’s own success could be causing it even more problem. According to all things digital, the NPD thinks that the tablet’s success is cannibalizing the Mac sales to some degree.
