Mac vs. Windows, which is better PC?

The debate over Mac vs. Windows which computer operating system is better, Windows or Mac, has many passionate followers on the both sides. While there is no single answer, you can get a computer with some right characteristics to meet your computing requirements. Here is a lowdown on the matchup between the Windows and Mac.

Windows and Mac are equal in:

Usability

You might have heard that the Macs are more instinctive than the Windows. In fact, neither system is basically easier to learn. Neophyte computer users will find many challenges learning to steer either the Windows or Mac system, and the users experienced with only one platform will practice frustrations if they switch.

Design competences

Though Macs ruled design world in the 1980s and 90s, the both operations have equal design abilities and applications today. Both Windows systems and Macs support a wide collection of file types, giving cross~platform compatibility so that the designers can exchange their ideas between the Windows and Mac PCs with great ease.

Windows and Macs aren’t equal in terms of:

Maintenance and viruses

While the Macs no longer are virus~free, malware remnants far less predominant in them. The Windows users are plagued with the security patches, driver updates and a need for regular anti~malware/antivirus scanning, that can lead to the clutter within the speed and system issues because of the higher memory consumption. But the windows is experienced with the combating malware, it is healthier suited to swiftly address new security matters. Apple inclines to fight with the rapid response to the new attacks.

Gaming and software

The Windows is the winner here; it gives a much wider library of the compatible software features and options and nearly 3 times as many apps in its AppStore as the Mac App Store.

While you will have no problem in finding Mac versions of big~name programs or games such as Photoshop or Quicken, if you run a particular software app which is not as largely used you might get that it is a Windows~only program. Compatible gaming software and graphics cards features are also limited for the Macs, meaning the game users should stick to the Windows.

Hardware

Nearly all hardware is created to work with the Windows, a big advantage when you want to replace or upgrade a malfunctioning part. The Mac users have more restricted upgrade skills if a key piece of the hardware breakdowns or no longer provides computing needs.

Cost

Apple trades high~quality systems for the top dollar: it does not offer budget models and it does not sell a less~reliable motherboard or slower processor at a discount. Otherwise, there is a wide variance in the price and quality of the windows~based PCs. A Windows PC with the equally reliable hardware would not be dramatically less costly, but the Windows systems are characteristically cheaper because of the competition among manufacturers.
