Yesterday, Apple unveils its MacBook Air 2014 lineup. As we were expecting that there won’t be any revolutionary transition. So, Apple proved us right bringing noting big to its MacBook Air range except some minor changes such as faster Intel Haswell processors and a low price tag.
There’s also a slight bump in the battery life extending iTunes video playback time. Before this refresh, 11-inch and 13-inch MBA models were offered 8hrs and 10hrs of movie playback respectively. But now, 11-inch model has been jumped to 9hrs while 13-inch to 12hrs.
“With MacBook Air starting at $899, there’s no reason to settle for anything less than a Mac,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Macs have never been more popular, and today we’ve boosted the performance and lowered the price of MacBook Air so even more people can experience the perfect everyday notebook.”
There were also some reports pointing 12-inch model with retina display but all proved wrong as Apple even didn’t talk about it. Specs wise, we don’t see much of the new addition as both new and previous models have the same specs. For many, it isn’t that kind of refresh as they were expecting from Apple.
