Apple on June 2 announced the new version of its desktop operating system, the OS X Yosemite together with iOS 8 at its annual WWDC in San Francisco. The new operating system comes with a host of new features and some improvements as well. It brings a new look similar to iOS 7. Anyhow, the new operating system is due for the final release late this year.
Initially, it is available for the developers under the build number of 14A238x. They can get OS X Yosemite beta through Mac Dev Center or Software Update in the Mac App Store. Here’re the devices that support OS X v10.10 Developer Preview:
- Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
- MacBook (Early 2009 or advance)
- iMac (Mid 2007 or higher)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or advance)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/late 2007 or later)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or higher)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
