Microsoft comes with a new Surface Pro 3 tablet that could be a nightmare for Apple as it might give a run to its MacBook Air range. It would really attract those who’re interested in buying an ultra-thin laptop. Before, users had only one choice in the form of Apple’s MacBook Air. But now, Microsoft’s newbie might grab the attention.
The latest contribution of Microsoft may fortify its Surface lineup with all-new Surface Pro 3, a tablet-cum notebook which brings a significant update over its predecessors. According to the analysts, this time Microsoft hasn’t tried to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab or iPad, so the focus was to bring a device that could meet with the needs of tablet and notebook as well.
The device announced at an event in the New York yesterday. It holds a 12-inch screen display with stylus, kick-stand and a larger trackpad. This time Microsoft designed a special Type Cover which is much thinner than before.
Coming with a price tag of $799, the device runs on an Intel Core i3 processor together with 4GB of RAM. It also combines a 4GB internal storage. It is yet to be confirmed whether this price tag includes peripheral keyboard or not. With $1,949 price tag, the high-end model brings you 512GB internal storage and a faster Intel Core i7 processor.
Let’s see how users look at it or will it find a significant space in the laptop market.
