The roundup of Mac apps comes with some solutions for quickly finding, faster typing, easier listening, better coding, and Visio Viewing. And that’s what you’re going to enjoy this week.
Ember 1.1
The Realmac Software’s image cataloging app, made from the ashes of the LittleSnapper, has been renamed to the Ember. The 1.1 version ($50) of program enhances the annotation features, allows you to drag & drop images from the Finder, enhances support for the GIFs, and many more.
Back-In-Time 3
Tri-Edre’s alternative interface for the OS X’s Time Machine backup option has got a major update in the form of Back In Time 3 ( $10 upgrade from version 2; $30). When we reviewed the earlier version, we loved that app makes a much convenient to retrieve and view backed up versions of the files. The 3 version brings overhauled user interface and faster search and backup navigation features.
Even better, company has added an option for the indexing Time Machine & Time Capsule disks so that you can browse and search the contents of those backups when drives aren’t mounted.
iGlasses 3.4
back in the 2007, the iGlasses 2.0 was a Mac Gem. Since then, the Ecamm’s utility ($20) for tweaking the Mac’s built in camera has observed numerous updates, and the iGlasses 3.4 is one of the leading. The new version allows you to manually lock and adjust white balance for the better images in even bad lighting situations, and to keep experience constant across a specific shot.
The iGlasses 3.4 also gains the AppleScript support, and now you can use the Mac’s Apple remote to control the digital pan, zoom and tilt.
BusyCal 2.5
The very famous iCal/Calendar alternative got a nice option bump in the BusyCal 2.5. The latest feature is extensive support for the Microsoft’s Exchange calendaring system; the BusyCal supports the exchange 2007, 2010, & 2013, as well as the office 365. Now you can also sync tasks through exchange and share tasks with the other BusyCa users.
The BusyCal 2.5 is now available for only $30 and offering free update for the existing users.
Logic Pro X 10.0.3
Calling all the audio editors; the Apple’s Logic Pro X with a new streamlined interface, tools for the bass players, Smart controls and drummers, a companion iPad app ($200). The new update fixes a bug related to bypassing a multi output instrument plugin.
Visio Viewer for Mac
If your job is to viewing the Microsoft Visio files, you might not want to drop into the Boot Camp or the virtual machine to do so anymore, thanks to the Enolsoft’s Viso viewer ($29) for the Mac. The app allows you to view .vsd visio drawings, as well as perform the basic image manipulation such as rotating or zooming; you can search text also. For viewing multiple files at once, this app uses a tabbed interface and even makes it convenient to convert the Visio drawings to the PDF for distribution to the people who do not have Visio or Visio viewer.
InfoClick 1.1
The Nisus Software’s ($15) InfoClick an email search tool has been updated to the version 1.1. New options included searching by the Apple Mail accounts, folders and mailboxes; the ability to search for the items that do not contain a particular term; and searching for the deleted messages.
Typinator 5.6
The Ergonis’s Typinator 5.6 puts the ability to include images in the plain text expansions. And it looks great for those animated GIFs lovers, right? The update, that also prepares a software for use with the OS X Mavericks (€25) but the upgrade pricing is also available.
