Try wily ways to open documents and folders
Want to go to a folder? You have got options. Choose a folder in the finder window, then open the file menu < press the control key if you want to change the open command to open in the new window. You are not going to have the original window around for the further work but also a new window appears the folder’s components the way you left it last – say, in a short~but~wide, icon~view window in the bottom right of the screen – in spite of using the existing window’s settings.
