The Apple has raised the prices of Mac Mini models in the multiple countries, comprising Brazil, Australia, and Malaysia. In the Australia, the price of Intel core i5 (2.5GHz) is A$749, and the price of Intel core i7 (2.3GHz) is $A999 , and the price of Mac Mini with the OS X server is A$1249. The Apple also has increased the prices of accessories in some other countries. For instance, the customers in UK have seen price raises on Apple Wireless keyboard (£2), The Mini DisplayPort to the VGA adapter (£4), and the cinema display VESA mount adapter kit (£4). More interesting the price increases have come on the replacement of MacBook Pro and MacBook batteries (£8), and Mini DisplayPort DVI (Dual-Link) adapter (£15).
Particularly, Mac Mini is using Intel’s last generation Ivy bridge processors, with MacBook Air 2013 and the current iMac refresh using Haswell processors, that contain some features like better performance, lower power usage, improved battery like for the laptops.
If the Apple is to refresh Mac Mini this year, then it would be a part of some updates to different products in its line, comprising a new Apple TV, new line of the iPads, and the latest MacBook Pro along with Haswell processor, and Mac Pro. All these products projected to be released at the end of this year.
