Just a day after the release, the latest revision of the Apple’s Mac OS is responsible for the 5.5% of all the North American website traffic initiating from the Macs, a new report says. In other words many Mac users are embracing OS X Mavericks as they find it 3 times faster than Mountain Lion.
Chitika (online advertising network), who also tracked the adoption of the Mac OS X Mountain Lion last year. Mac OS X Mountain Lion launched last summer, and it took 4 days to reach 5.5% threshold.
Another main factor that is working in the Mavericks favor is its conspicuous settlement as an accessible update in MAS (Mac App Store), complete with the badge on Store’s dock icon and the notification in the Notification Center. Old versions of the Mac OS X delivered through Mac App Store weren’t shown as updates. The users were required to purchase the upgrades.
The Mac OS X Mavericks, available to 2007 or the newer Macs that are running Lion, Snow Leopard, or Mountain Lion, is an important update to the Apple Mac OS. The update comes with some architectural improvements that wring more battery life, improved support for different displays, a new kind of tabbed mode for the Finder, latest iCloud keychain functions and improved Maps and iBooks.
