Owners of newly launched 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pros (Retina Display) might want to fire up the Software Upgrade for something even more significant than a solution for Mail in the Mavericks. Firmware Upgrades for the both models also launched on Thursday cover some big issues with these new laptops.
MacBook Pro (Retina) EFI Upgrade v1.3 solves a problem with unresponsive trackpads and keyboards on the 13 inch Retina model. The Apple acknowledged this issue previously and promised about a solution back on the Halloween.
MacBook Pro (Retina) EFI Upgrade v1.2 for 13inch MacBook Pro (Retina Display) resolves a problem that, in some cases, limited the performance of distinct graphics processor after the system boot or wake.
Apple also launched an iBooks upgrade 1.0.1 for the desktop version of the ebook Software in the Mavericks. Its modifications are ore imprecise with the bug fixes and changes to stability & performance.
All these upgrades are now available through Software Update.
